🚨 Urgent — Haiti Deportee Emergency Response

They Arrive With Nothing.

We Can Change That.

Every day Haitian families are being deported to Haiti with nothing but the clothes on their backs. No food. No supplies. No support. RL Bethany's Emergency Arrival Kits meet them at the airport so they are not completely alone.

Imagine being forced onto a plane and sent to a country you barely know — with nothing in your hands and nowhere to go. That is the reality for thousands of Haitian men, women, and children being deported right now.

In 2025 alone, more than 270,000 people were forcibly returned to Haiti. Many have lived in the United States for 10, 15, even 20 years. They have children here. Jobs here. Lives here. When they land at Cap-Haïtien International Airport they have no housing, no food, no money, and no support system waiting for them. Research shows that about half report symptoms consistent with depression or anxiety.

RL Bethany believes that a deported person is not a failure. They are a Haitian with experience, skills, relationships, and potential. That is why we are proud to partner with Sonje Ayiti — a Haitian-led organization building one of the most comprehensive returning citizen reintegration programs in Haiti today.

Together, RL Bethany and Sonje Ayiti are committed to transforming forced return into a new beginning — meeting people at the airport with our Emergency Arrival Kits and walking with them every step of the way toward stability, dignity, and a rebuilt life in Haiti.

What They Need Most When They Arrive

Basic hygiene — toothbrush, toothpaste, soap
Food and water for the first 24 to 48 hours
Clean clothes — many arrive in what they were arrested in
First aid supplies for injuries during detention
Know Your Rights cards and resource guides in Creole
A message that someone in the US fought for them

"Helping Haitians Help Themselves"

Sonje Ayiti is a Haitian-led organization building the most comprehensive reintegration program for returning citizens in Haiti. RL Bethany is proud to partner with and fully support their mission — providing Emergency Arrival Kits and funding to help every returning Haitian rebuild their life with dignity.

The REKÒMANSE Model

Rebuilding Dignity. Restoring Hope. Creating Haitian Dreams.

Phase 1 — Receive
First 72 hours. Emergency Arrival Kit. Needs assessment. Psychological first aid. Family tracing. "Ou Pa Yon Echèk. Ou Lakay Ou."
Phase 2 — Profile
Every returning citizen receives a Haitian Dreams Profile — mapping their skills, assets, and dreams. Not just their needs — their potential.
Phase 3 — Heal
Psychosocial support, mental health care, and community integration. Half of all deportees show signs of depression — healing comes first.
Phase 4 — Skill
Trade training, certification upgrades, and apprenticeships. Construction, agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, and more.
Phase 5 — Earn
Job placement, employer matching, and entrepreneurship support. The goal is sustainable income — not one-time handouts.
Phase 6 — Build
Savings groups, business development, micro-grants, and mentorship. From returning citizen to Haitian entrepreneur.

The Transformation We Are Funding Together:

RETURNED → STABILIZED → SKILLED → EMPLOYED → SAVING → BUILDING → EMPLOYING OTHERS

"Sonje Ayiti believes that returning to Haiti should not mean the end of a person's dream. Every Haitian has skills, experiences, talents and dreams that can contribute to the rebuilding of our nation."
